How long does it take to replace the knob and tube wiring?
A typical replacement for a full house will take approximately 1 to 2 weeks. GCCElectric will fully disconnect and remove (where accessible) the knob & tube wiring and replace it with a modern electrical system. If you decide to replace your knob and tube, you should be aware that in some cases we may need to cut into some ceilings and walls. In these instances, once we have completed the wiring, we repair the holes that were made and make them ready for paint.

Dan came my house to put potlights in and figure out an issue with an outlet. The potlights look beautiful! He was very careful to make minimal holes and even plastered the holes to make it easy for us. He was very clean, did quality work at a reasonable price, and is a really nice guy. Dan upgraded our electrical panel and installed a Tesla charger for our home. It was a complicated job because our panel was very poorly put together by the previous owner. GCC Electric is a fantastic company that does superb work. We had Dan upgrade our old 1967 fuse panel to a 200 Amp service.
From the beginning to the end, Dan provided quick, friendly and professional service at a fair price. High quality material was used to complete the high quality service we received. Lights out at 9:15 am and all power restored by 2:30 pm. Impressive. Not only did we get a great job, you can't find a speck of debris left behind. Dan removed all the garbage, old wires, boxes and wood from the previous unit and took it away with him.
